An electric and upright bassist hailing from Pittsburgh, Richie Goods began playing music at a young age and got his start playing in the churches and clubs around the city. After high school, he attended Boston's Berklee College of Music and after graduating went on to study under jazz bassist Ron Carter. All of his studying and performing paid off -- Goods has since toured all over the world with a variety of big-name music acts, ranging from Milt Jackson and Stanley Turrentine to DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince and Christina Aguilera. The dawn of the new century found Richie Goods on tour with pianist Mulgrew Miller and guitarist Russell Malone, and living in Brooklyn between tours. ~ Joslyn Layne, Rovi
