In the 1990s Rick found success with his group Harsh Reality opening for national acts including Joan Jett and the Plasmatics. The band soon became a fixture in the New York City alternative scene, performing regularly at CBGBs, The Bitter End, The Cat Club, Kenny's Castaways, the Lion's Den, Cafe Wha?, and Nightingales.
Rick later began an alternative project named Pilgrim Soul, joined by his wife Anne Marie. The group released a self-titled debut in 2000 that showcased the duo's eclectic musical background and heartfelt lyrics. Simultaneously, Pilgrim Soul began working with House producer PQM on original house/alternative music as well as remixes for major labels including Atlantic Records, Yoshitoshi, Buddha Bar Records, and others. Pilgrim Soul's crowning achievement was their song "Stay Another Day," featured in the Sony Classics motion picture The Broken Hearts Club. The group scored major club hits with their releases, "The Nameless Song," "Rise In," and producer Scumfrog's "We Luv You."
Rick later collaborated with producer, Klement Bonelli, releasing "Two Worlds Apart" on Krome Records, and recently the club anthem "Hit Me Up." Current releases include singles co-produced with Centient and a Pilgrim Soul EP collaboration with PQM co-produced with Centient. Check back regularly for more releases to come.
