Ulrick Syl, known professionally as RICKKYY, was born on March 4 in Marietta, Georgia, and later moved to Florida, where his artistry continued to take shape. Raised in a deeply musical household, RICKKYY was influenced early on by his father, a guitarist, and his mother, a singer roots that laid the foundation for his lifelong connection to music.
He began his musical journey in the Haitian church, first as a drummer, before expanding his skills to bass at an American church. During his time at Oak Ridge High School, he developed his precision participating in drumline, sharpening the performance discipline that would define his sound.
After graduating, RICKKYY transitioned into music production and sound engineering while creating beats while also playing guitar and keyboard in both local and large bands within the HMI scene. He gained additional exposure performing alongside his uncle, and well-connected figure in the local music community, who helped him build as a young artist.
RICKKYY’s innovative blend of styles and cultural influence propelled him to popularity across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, where he surpassed millions of views. He is recognized as one of the youngest artists to help shape and popularize “Gouyad”hood-trap Haitian Kompa, blending traditional Caribbean sounds with modern trap influences to create a fresh, energetic style. RICKKYY has built a rapidly growing fanbase and continues to be widely admired especially amongs females around the world
