Ricky Lionardi studied in Berklee College of Music and graduated as Magna Cum Laude in 2003. He got his first recognition when he came back to Indonesia and working for Maliq & d’Essentials’ first album back in 2005. As music producer, Ricky has worked for Ruth Sahanaya and Dewi Lestari for their music album. And as Album Recording Arranger & Producer, he has worked with Trio Lestari, Dira Sugandi, Alexa, Christian Bautista, and many more.
Exploring many fields in music industry, Ricky has collaborated with several big names such as Al Schmitt (15 times Grammy Winning Recording Engineer and Producer) and Ron McMaster (Nat King Cole, Herbie Hancock, R.E.M, Bill Evans Mastering Engineer).
As a versatile musician, in 2016 Ricky got awarded as 'Best Original Score' in Festival Film Bandung 2016 after got nominated with the same category in Festival Film Bandung 2007, Festival Film Indonesia 2010, and Piala Maya 2013. Up until the year 2018, there are more than 25 Indonesian movies that has been composed and produced by Ricky Lionardi and some of them are listed as Indonesia's Box Office Movies. In theatre production, he also the music director and composer of “Bunga Penutup Abad” dan "Perempuan-Perempuan Chairil".
In October 2018, Ricky released his first single, 'Sabda Alam' from the album Senandung Indonesia, featuring Indra Aziz and accompanied by 60-piece Budapest Scoring Jazz Orchestra.
