I am a 30 year independent artist-warrior. The first time I told my father I was serious about going into the music industry he looked at me and nodded his head. A day or so later he brought me two books. The first boon was: How to Manufacture, Produce, and Market Your Own Record. The second book was: Everything You Need to Know About The Music Business. After reading those two books over and over again, I came overstand the treacherous depths of structural inequalities and systemic oppression festering within the music industry. I am an advocate for Performing Artist Rights, and Human Justice.
