The London-based songwriting collective came together to craft hits but grew to find their own heartfelt pop voice as Riveraire. Named after the River Aire in Yorkshire and the proud northern roots of founding members Paul Carr and Paul Nolan, Riveraire's songs came to life after teaming up with acclaimed Australian born vocalist, writer and performer Caroline Loftus. Their first writing session hit home and the debut song Down to the Ground came to be. With an insistent melody and off beat lyric ('I'm falling down with my two feet on the ground'), the track opened doors, signed Riveraire for song publishing and brought them to the attention of UK independent label Aardvark Records. The team won an artist incubator competition sponsored by the label to develop new talent, with the prize of mentorship and an album release. Working with producer Ian Catt, Riveraire went on to write and record the eponymous Down to the Ground album for Aardvark. The album made waves in the US after three tracks – Beautiful Love, Come on Over and Company of Strangers – featured in the hit TV series Charmed. The album's title track was also covered by the Swiss pop artist Sandra Wild (also known as Sun'Dra) on her Go Wild album release in Europe and Japan. Riveraire collaborated on two further releases, the shimmering pop single Round & Round and life affirming Brand New Day EP. They continue to write and record together and released a new album, Here We Go, in 2023.
