Starting as a bedroom recording project of singer / songwriter Jonathan Ogden in 2010, Rivers & Robots combine acoustic and electronic sounds with words often taken straight from psalms and Bible passages. After 2 home-recorded albums, they became a 4 piece band in 2012, going on to record studio albums as a band.
The first full-band album, All Things New was released as a free download through NoiseTrade and Come&Live!, opening up a wider audience around the world for the band. After several tours around the UK and Europe, and a successful Kickstarter project, Rivers & Robots then went on to record and release their fourth album, The Eternal Son in 2016. The band went on to tour that album in the UK, Europe, Asia and America.
In 2017 they released an instrumental album, re-working well known worship songs and hymns into contemplative and atmospheric arrangements. Still Volume 1, was the first in the series of instrumental albums commissioned by Integrity Music.
The band now live as full-time missionaries, and spend their time playing in churches, clubs and festivals, hosting monthly worship nights in gig venues around Manchester called 'Gather', releasing videos and running creative projects through their organisation, Set Sail.
