London's sophisticated electro-pop duo RIVRS features Charlotte Mallory and Finn Munro. The pair began making music in 2013, taking inspiration from synth-pop veterans such as Depeche Mode as well as 21st century artists like Purity Ring and the xx. RIVRS first attracted attention with their cover of En Vogue's "Don't Let Go" and "Close to You," a collaboration with Lobo that arrived at the end of 2014. Their official debut single, "Last Love," was released by Kitsune and also appeared on the label's New Faces, Vol. 2 collection in 2015. The duo worked on its debut album with Years & Years' Mark Ralph and issued the single "Friend Lover" on Vroom Vroom Records (Charli XCX's experimental pop imprint) in early 2016. The duo released two more singles, "Falling" and "Something About You," before the Falling EP arrived in August 2016. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
