Only Girl is a soulful young artist, emerging from the DIY music scene of South East London, honing her own brand of emotional, understated pop, infused with R&B and gospel melodies.
Growing up in a large musical family, with 4 brothers, she attributes this to her early love of singing and performing with her musician dad, inspired by the powerful blues & soul of artists like Janis Joplin & Bob Dylan.
Her music began to take shape after an introduction to long term collaborators Zero 7, finding a strong songwriting connection with the duo, who went on to produce many of her early singles & feature her on their own releases.
To date Only Girl has has garnered widespread support across BBC Introducing, Spotify, BBC Radio 1 & 2, BBC6 Music and online tastemakers including Fader, Clash, Line of Best Fit, Mahogany & Red Bull Music.
The past 18 months have seen her feature on releases with Zero 7, Kultur, Kitty Cash's Love the Free mixtape and playing sold out headline shows in London.
She released her debut EP ‘Bittersweet’ in April 2018, (supported by PRS Momentum), gaining features on Spotify New Music Friday UK, Notion, The Independent & BBC Music.
She recently travelled to Texas to play at the prestigious SXSW festival (supported by the PRS International Showcase fund) and in May, premiered a live & acoustic version of the Bittersweet EP on Line of Best Fit.
Her recent 'Release' EP premiered on Complex UK, with stripped back soulful tunes produced by RITUAL and Lostboy.
