RJ Manulid

‘<a href="spotify:album:3cbxfUtga0hMeqtKpZq0XC" data-name="Looking Up">Looking Up</a>’ is RJ Manulid’s 3rd album, following his 2021 sophomore album <a href="spotify:album:5jo3UjKv0Mu3eSdHtdrzIc" data-name="Phases">Phases</a>, and his 2018 full-length debut, <a href="spotify:album:7cqxUf20Pwdhft47qvHSYX" data-name="Reassurance">Reassurance</a> . The new album explores what it means to look up – whether it means being happy about life’s simple joys and victories, or desperately searching for meaning when you’re lost and at your lowest.

Bandwagon Asia, Antara News Indonesia, H&amp;M Philippines, CNN Philippines, NYLON Manila, UDOU, SunStar Davao, and Japanese websites such as SENSA and Barks among others, have featured RJ Manulid. He played on the Wish 107.5 Bus and produced 2 songs for <a href="spotify:artist:0sWmvGjfu29LxEUvZhWHMt" data-name="Chud Festejo">Chud Festejo</a>&#39;s <a href="spotify:album:3XfIzIBg8No7JUlIwWnHdp" data-name="Laro-Laro Lang">Laro-Laro Lang</a> EP in 2019. He also produced an instrumental track for <a href="spotify:artist:5tQw9gcRjdyHOmKekGVavE" data-name="Maan Chua">Maan Chua</a>’s Pintig album which was released in 2021. The indie pop artist has performed on tour in Cebu City, Malaybalay, Tagum, and Cagayan de Oro City. Radio stations in the Philippines and in Japan have played his songs.

RJ has worked with Japanese DJ/Producer <a href="spotify:artist:7FsxjSM1Naj6x4BYp7cXm5" data-name="WAZGOGG">WAZGOGG</a>, Korean rapper Trix (now known as <a href="spotify:artist:69k1IcSuBYXgD1STD8sEYz" data-name="j00n">j00n</a>), releasing two new songs and one remix during their collaboration. In 2023, he spent over 2 months in Indonesia, training in traditional Banyuwangi dances and Indonesian gamelan music, and finally performing in Jakarta as one of only 2 Filipino awardees of the Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship.
