"Rodeo Glow's 'Hollywood' offers spiritual comfort for troubled times" -- Wide Open Country
Rodeo Glow is the song-focused,harmony-singing collaboration of Tuxedo Wildlife’s Collin Gundry and Whoa Dakota’s Jessica Ott. The two embarked on their new endeavor at the onset of 2020 because they didn’t feel safe having rehearsal and recording with their other band members during the COVID-19 stay at home mandates. They began writing together and took a trip to Santa Cruz, California where they recorded the first several Rodeo Glow songs in a friend’s cabin in the redwood forest.
The songs range from acoustic and intimate with classic country lap steel guitar, to vintage 70s-inspired danceable tracks with layered synths and driving beats. While none of us knows what the future brings for music, Rodeo Glow is verification that art and artists will always find a way.
