Rome Herbert

With over a decade of performing experience in several cities across the US, Rome Herbert is an artist on a mission to bond the room and build the mood of any space he is a part of. Gracing the stage of conferences, house shows, youth organizations, schools, block parties, juvenile centers, club venues, and street corners, no experience is too intimate or large.

After a transformational conversion experience coming into his faith in Jesus as a teenager, Rome was invited to perform at a youth group in his home city. Growing up shy and reserved, he had performed only a few times previously and this was his first big step since the shift. Engaging the crowd with hype songs alongside his best friend on stage felt like a groundbreaking moment of freedom that made the leap of faith worth it, but the real breakthrough was playing a song he wrote about his first encounter with death and grieving a close relative.

Despite feeling as if the content was such a unique and lonely experience and unsure how the reception would be, to his surprise he saw tears filling the eyes of audience members. After the set, story after story was shared about their own personal suffering with loss.

It was at this moment he decided that this space of connection is what he wanted to curate with his music and movement for the rest of his life, providing hope to the hidden pain of those unseen through bold vulnerability.
