Born on the South Side of Chicago, RomLawrell's music contains just a hint of his Chicago house roots with a fusion of R&B, Dance, and Rap. Rom’s passion for music reaches back many years to when he first saw the movie “Purple Rain” at the age of 4, The singer-songwriter has crooned his way through multiple singing and dance competitions during his defining early years. Mixing mainstream R&B & Pop with elements of Rap and Soul, RomLawrell creates a unique style that differentiates him from the rest of his musical peers.
 
The artist's music is a progression that starts with finding himself, transitions to discovering his passion in life, and settles on self-acceptance and nurturing his relationships. Rom notes his musical inspirations are Usher, Missy Elliot, and Drake, not just for their music but for their stage presence and ability to stand the tests of time.

True to his words, Rom’s fierce take on the pop and soul genre has inspired many fans. He works on producing upbeat music centered on connecting with his fans on popular topics such as love and the thirst for life. 
Fresh off of opening up for artists like Lil Kim and Saucy Santana at the annual WeHoPride Fest in 2022, Rom is ready to take the industry by storm. He hopes to recreate that experience by performing for more high-energy crowds that look for music that can make a difference.
