In the small town of Portales, New Mexico, two paths converged to create a unique musical journey. Cole Younger Brakebill began his musical voyage in high school, crafting beats and producing tracks on the family computer. His early twenties were marked by a distinctive blend of country hip hop, where he honed his skills in writing, recording, and producing his own music.

Jordan Craig Ennis, seven years Cole’s junior, was no stranger to the musical scene. Alongside his friend Will Banister, he began writing songs and performing at local festivals, bringing his acoustic guitar and harmonica to life.

In 2009, destiny brought Cole and Jordan together at the Blue Light Live in Lubbock, TX. Their connection was immediate, and by the next year, they were in Cole’s studio, recording “Outlaw” on their very first night together. This collaboration ignited a creative fire, leading to the production of a dozen albums from 2012 to 2018, each with its own unique theme. After a brief hiatus, they reunited in 2022 to release the album “Reloaded.”

Their message to fans is clear: “If you don’t like a song, skip it because the next song is totally different.” Through their music, they have put Portales, NM on the map. Their lyrics, particularly in songs like "The Short Round," evoke the spirit of the rodeo, a universal language of resilience and determination. Proudly promoting the town that shaped them, they create music for small-town folks who dream of a broader horizon.
