Rory Khan Mohon is a Los Angeles based musician who uses synthesizers to craft emotional and powerful music. His driving and off kilter sound pulls from the influence of artists like Johnny Jewel, Boy Harsher and John Carpenter. Rory’s musical journey started at the age of 15 when he started playing guitar. He quickly picked up the bass during his metal years, providing a strong musical grounding for his career to come.
Mohon cut his teeth as a session guitarist in Nashville. He toured with friends and played countless shows, largely with shoegaze bands. Eventually, he fell in love with synths and drum machines. He left behind his life as a shoegaze guitarist and moved to Los Angeles where he started writing for film and TV. Mohon quickly realized though that he missed writing in a song format and missed hearing vocals over his beats. He started crafting powerful synth music, even releasing an album on the vaunted Burning Witches Records.
