Free All Day is the name of the most recent recorded effort by singer-songwriter Ross Jenkins. It's first single, "Small House", is a fast-paced reflection on a quickly-changing world, a pitter-patter of rhythms and cosmic-ambience that draws influence from records like Joni Mitchell's mystical Night Ride Home and the homebound reflections of Bill Callahan's recent output.
Supported for the first time by the talents of drummer Ryan Jewell (Ryley Walker, Bridgid Mae Power) and pedal steel guitarist Barry Walker Jr. (Mouth Painter, s/t works), Free All Day is a refined entry in a canon of Pacific-Northwest balladry that Jenkins has and will continue to cultivate in the years to come.
