ROZIE is Canadian singer-songwriter from Vancouver, BC. She was raised on the music of Bonnie Rait, Sade, and Fleetwood Mac. ROZIE’s new sound conveys the realness of story telling, live off the floor recordings that capture the essence of that vintage aesthetic and feel that we hear when listening to all those influences.
She draws you back into a time warp and makes you feel like you forgot where you were for a second; timeless.
ROZIE’s first performance was when she was 8, in her bedroom in front of her fan, overlooking her pebble stoned roof that looked like a sea of people. To then signing her first record deal at 16, and performing on stages that really did over look a sea of people, not just stones.
Her career has been a revolving door of genres and sounds, as it took trial and error to test out what truly felt right in her soul. So she started from ground zero again, with just her name and her stories.
Her upcoming EP promises to be her best work yet. The writing process sent her on a journey of remembering why she is here on this earth. To be vulnerable, pure, integral, and a healing returned back to self. These are ROZIE’s true tales of the defeat, control, and struggles in her own career, being sexualized as a young new artist, a break up that lasted forever, and discovering how much resilience she truly had, finding the strength through her music, despite it all.
The EP is set to come out late 2025 along with the visual art and documentary film.
