With background in visual arts, including film and broadcasting studies, Shermar approaches music with an innovative spirit.

Raised surrounded by the rich history of The International Civil Rights Center and Museum, where their father served as the first curator; this unique upbringing allowed Shermar to learn from iconic civil rights luminaries, shaping his authentic artistic vision and commitment.

With notable placements in Starbucks locations across the globe and features with retail giants Maison Kitsune to Madewell commercials, Shermar’s track ‘So Far Gone’ (w/<a href="spotify:artist:5F7u7H5gfu6hPeRo50MOIg" data-name="Cheb Miaou">Cheb Miaou</a>) made waves on the soundtrack of Netflix’s ‘Emily In Paris’. From collaboration with Moullinex on ‘Carnival’ to writing Satin Jackets’ ‘Never Enough’, Shermar constantly pushes the boundaries of sound and songwriting.
