Ruth Mahogany, a First Class Graduate of Accounting and Finance is a Multi-talented Artist, prolific writer and creative director with a robust background in multimedia projects. First starting out with profound spoken-word poetry, she now infuses music born out of a union between fresh air and versatility; marrying sounds across genres, hip-hop, afrobeats, reggae, soul and pop to bring a unique alternative sound.
Ruth Mahogany is a multi poetry slam winner and also bagged the Ned Nwoko Antarctica 'War Against Malaria' Campaign Prize. She also emerged as one of the winners of Vis-a-Vis 12th Edition by Casa Africa opening the opportunity to tour in July 2023 and perform with ARB Music Band at several known Spanish Music Festivals including 'Fuerteventura en Música' (FEM), Etnosur, Imagina Funk, Festival Sinsal, amidst others.
While she has inspiring poetry videos (personal thought pieces) splattered on YouTube, she continues to work with organizations to articulate difficult societal topics in the most creative way. Some of her past works include but is not limited to content on 'Girl Child Education' for United Nations Population Fund, 'Human Rights and Free Speech' for Amnesty International, and 'Severe Acute Malnutrition' for International Society for Media in Public Health.
She co-authored 'Abuja Buildings,' a photo and poetry book by Agama Art Publishing & Agency, writing 28 poems about iconic buildings in the capital of Nigeria.
