Ruthless Juveniles is a legendary Underground Gangsta Rap Group from Algiers, a neighborhood located in the New Orleans Area of West Bank.
It was initially made up of Michael Marshall aka 4-Shob & Brandon Gray aka Lil Badness. Producer Death was also closely associated with the duo. Together they released 2 local classics in the early 90's ("Hard As Tha' Fuck" I & II in 1992 and in 1995) under a freshly created local label, Mobo Records.
Those two albums are highly sought after by collectors. They're full of grimey violent tales depicting the rough side of the Crescent City over gloomy smooth tracks laced by Death... The result is some haunted G-Rap that's still impressive nowadays despite the poor quality of the sound.
Unfortunately, Lil Badness & 4-Shob were both incarcerated in the middle of the 90's (4-Shob didn't even appear on the "Hard As Tha' Fuck II" since he was already locked up). The group was thus reorganized around Mobo Joe, Lil Ruthless, Death & new members. They dropped another album in 1997 ("New Beginning", still on Mobo Records) with 4-Shob on 3 songs but it's clearly a few levels below Hard As The Fuck I & II...
4-Shob, one of the original members of Ruthless Juveniles, resurfaced after his release from prison. He's featured on Mobo Joe's album "Federalli" (2004) and recently dropped a single, still under Mobo ("No Realer" in 2018) while Lil Badness is still incarcerated.
