Ryan McNulty’s delicate, confessional songwriting recalls an era of the classic singer/songwriter. Hailing from South London via rural Cornwall in the UK, his songs are laced with a fine mix of small town intimacy and big city despair.
In a nod to honest songwriters like <a href="spotify:artist:2ApaG60P4r0yhBoDCGD8YG" data-name="Elliott Smith">Elliott Smith</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2Z7gV3uEh1ckIaBzTUCE6R" data-name="Conor Oberst">Conor Oberst</a>, McNulty delivers a brand of indie folk that combines sincere, and often deeply personal lyricism, with careful acoustic arrangements.
The EP <a href="spotify:album:6yp5cCJx6Zx1MvM9jRkmqZ" data-name="Morning Always Came Too Soon">Morning Always Came Too Soon</a> was released in July 2017. Recorded by McNulty himself, in studios and living rooms in London and Cornwall, (and everywhere in-between) the record authentically encapsulates his introspective sound.
