<a href="spotify:artist:7IIlyj0xIngEdanrbGok1c" data-name="Ryan Mitchell Grey">Ryan Mitchell Grey</a> is a songwriter and producer from Elmhurst, Queens; hoisting romantic, inventive lyrics within Alternative/R&B. After writing a few love songs on top of rap instrumentals in high school, Ryan began to self-learn guitar and production.
Ultimately, dropping out of college led Ryan to perform acoustic covers and originals on YouTube and at shows across the US, Canada, and Australia. During this time, he wrote and recorded an album in San Diego, California with frequent collaborator and mentor, <a href="spotify:artist:51KbY36mrjHRQwvSbel74l" data-name="Jesse Barrera">Jesse Barrera</a> . "<a href="spotify:album:1hV5EiVWdH6NJfvRP5xXib" data-name="On the Stellar Way">On the Stellar Way</a>" (2012) was the first full-length album released under the moniker, "<a href="spotify:artist:6h3z3LY3c6Uf7ZrSZvkvCN" data-name="Mitchell Grey">Mitchell Grey</a>".
In 2013, Ryan returned to Cali, releasing "<a href="spotify:album:1Dpm7RS4ySJqoxefUJ455j" data-name="Canyon - EP">Canyon - EP</a>". Inspired to finally attach his name to the producer title, Ryan wrote and recorded 5-song EP, "<a href="spotify:album:3VUQCzIxqX2ydpxVWiM0Ld" data-name="Moceans">Moceans</a>" (2014).
Returning once again to L.A., Ryan enlisted the help of producers <a href="spotify:artist:51KbY36mrjHRQwvSbel74l" data-name="Jesse Barrera">Jesse Barrera</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:37M8i9hFcUS616q3X3uCU4" data-name="JBird">JBird</a> to compose and write, "<a href="spotify:album:0VbhBVFAxgzJlyNpDAICGK" data-name="Ne Plus Ultra">Ne Plus Ultra</a>" (2017), breaking out of acoustic, singer-songwriter form.
In 2020, "<a href="spotify:album:4xgWIZXHBdDSTVJ7WFn0j7" data-name="Good Samaritan">Good Samaritan</a>" was released to help fundraise and raise awareness for the Black Lives Matter movement. The follow-up, "<a href="spotify:album:2pA8AliQZx92sS4joSHnjZ" data-name="Moceans 2">Moceans 2</a>" was released after which included new collaborators <a href="spotify:artist:23bSD5t38m4d6k8jtlZGDa" data-name="Anik Khan">Anik Khan</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3CiuXDKttPUT0tWGHicFUH" data-name="Tim Atlas">Tim Atlas</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0DqFap2UZBZYFYKEDYMEPa" data-name="Isaac Solo">Isaac Solo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2dto8PlszEdz76m4W8xToI" data-name="Daniel West.">Daniel West.</a> and returning collaborator <a href="spotify:artist:4tCWkmqJTLtr0dG15aJRUh" data-name="Napes">Napes</a>.
After finally re-releasing "<a href="spotify:album:1OtVmWDrgdGvEiUjnY5DKg" data-name="Unstoppable">Unstoppable</a>" in November 2020 - a prominent original song that catapulted his career in 2009 - Ryan has released 5 singles with his latest, <a href="spotify:album:6sImsAHMeEC9kThFAWYTcv" data-name="Conejita En La Playa">Conejita En La Playa</a>.
