Glisha is a Vancouver-based Filipino-Canadian artist who effortlessly blends together the worlds of Pop, RnB, and Folk with her lyrically-charged songs and punchy pop melodies paired with warm, mellifluous vocal tones. With influences such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Lizzy Mcalpine, Glisha’s work displays storytelling through her songwriting, production, and lush vocal stacks. Her music has circulated the globe, with core listeners from the United States, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines.
Her latest single, “Until Then” (2024), is a self-produced folk ballad inspired by long distance love and longing and was recorded at the woodland destination studio Barnhouse Sound (Qualicum Beach, B.C.). “The lyrics took inspiration from the scenery surrounding the studio,” recalls Glisha. “It’s beautiful how this song harnesses a multitude of meanings that move my audiences to picture family and loved ones living abroad.”
As a top-honour graduate from Douglas College’s (New Westminster, BC) Music Technology program, Glisha’s prowess as a music producer and vocal producer contributed greatly towards the making of her first album, Attachments + Acceptance (2021) and its lead single “Staycation” - which has generated over two million streams across all platforms. Her versatile discography has earned her the titles: Pop Artist of the Year (Fraser Valley Music Awards, 2024), First Place Dakota Leslie Fan Vote and RnB Artist of the Year (Fraser Valley Music Awards, 2023)
