2011年結成。新潟市を表す「柳都(りゅうと)」という言葉に、「アーティスト」を加え、「新潟のアーティスト」という意味を込めて「RYUTist」(りゅーてぃすと)と名付けました。
メンバーは宇野友恵、五十嵐夢羽、横山実郁の3人組で、全員が新潟生まれ新潟育ちです。
新潟県を拠点に、県外でも精力的にライブ活動を行っています。
