Puttnam’s early musical mentors Vangelis & Quincy Jones sent him on a journey through Simon Rattle to Ilya Musin and Gennady Rozhdestvensky at the Moscow ‘Tchaikovsky’ Conservatory (Conducting and Composition) and Berklee College of Music (Composition and arranging). He toured the world with multi-platinum rock band Bush while orchestrating films for Michael Kamen. Puttnam’s comprehensive experience and knowledge in all music genres shows in his imaginative and sensitive scoring of over fifty films, numerous radio dramas and podcasts, as well as his original piano and full orchestral compositions. Featured on Spotify are his re-imagining of classic film music by some of his mentors. Puttnam has written and arranged for some of the pop and rock world’s biggest names, Sia, Regina Spektor, Nick Cave, Hybrid, Bush and has worked with Moscow, Hallé, RTÉ and London Studio Orchestras. He lives and works in London.
