Sad Whisperings

Starting early nineties as Desecrate, the band played death metal with doom influences. In 1992 the name was changed to: Sad Whisperings,after the change in musical direction to atmospheric doom/death metal heavily influenced by My Dying Bride, Anathema and Paradise Lost.
The 1st demo got them a record deal with Foundation2000 (Gorefest,The Gathering)resulting in the album: ‘Sensitive to Autumn’ in '93.
In 1995 and 1998 2 promos were recorded and there were some line-up changes. In 1999 the band went on hiatus, when Alexander moved to Argentina, where he teamed up with Mental Distortion.( With Lars Rosenberg ex Entombed)
After Alex’s return from Argentina in 2002, the was reformed with a fresh line-up and recorded their last promo so far in 2003. In 2005 Sad Whisperings was discontinued.
In 2022 VIC Records re-issued “Sensitive to Autumn’. This led to the reformation of the band and a year later the re-issue of ‘Sensitive...’was released and the band performed for the first time in almost 20 years on the ‘Dutch Doom Days’ in Baroeg, Rotterdam. The same year VIC Records released ‘Return to Autumn’, the ’95 and ’98 promo’s.
They also got a Chapter in the book: ,,Streams of Ancient Wisdom” written by Rocktribune journalist: Steve Willems.
The band is working on material for a new album and doing live shows!
