Saiga Antelope

Saiga Antelope is a progressive art rock act based in Oslo, Norway, though they originate from the town of Bodø. The group draws heavy inspiration from a wide variety of progressive rock and art rock acts from the last thirty years, and have a certain fascination for conceptual music. Consequently, the music is quite varied in nature, and primarily characterized by its focus on conveying stories. Additionally, Saiga Antelope's music can be described as an attempt of bridging the gap between the complex and the accessible.

The group, founded in early 2016, consists of members Jakob Gåre and Sindre Abelvik, who both contribute to the writing, composition and performance of the group’s repertoire. Although sharing most of the vocal and instrumental performances between themselves, they feature several guest musicians in their music, most notably Kaya Marie Abelvik on vocals and Daniel Johannessen on drums. Their debut album The Grand Endeavor released on the 18th of October 2019.
