Salvasquared

Salvasquared grew up in Austin, TX with roots in El Salvador, surrounded by different cultures and musical influences. He began as a drummer and soon after became an MC and Producer/beatmaker. His music aims to give you unique and eclectic sounds with mix of Boom Bap and Southern inspired beats. His debut Album Peleamos in 2016 and follow up debut Instrumental Album Epocas gave a new and refreshing take on Hip-Hop and contained pieces of Latino, Southern, East Coast, and World music. After spending years in South Korea, he recently released The Overseas Instrumentals which is inspired by the sounds of Asia, using obscure samples and hard hitting drums. In late 2019, he released Nomadas with versatile artist Tesfa, a refreshing mix of Spanish and English songs about current and personal struggles with obscure Jazz and Latin influenced production. He has been featured on several projects in 2020, including Family Bumps Vol.2 (CouchLoaf Records) and ATX President (Clay-Doh). After lots of hard work and introspection, his new solo album Based on True Stories is set to release in late August with production from Usedtobe (Solar Shield) and Salva himself and featuring some of his most daring and complex rhymes to date.
