Sam Ashby, better known by the stage name Smashby, was a prominent housemate on Big Brother UK 2025 (the 22nd series of the show). A 27-year-old is a British pop artist from Skipton, North Yorkshire, Sam was a polarizing figure who became central to several of the season's major storylines. Under the name Smashby, Sam is an established singer on the UK Pride circuit. They have collaborated with RuPaul’s Drag Racestars like Divina De Campo and Aja. Their songs have been featured on major international platforms, including BBC Radio Introducing and Love Island Australia.
Following their eviction, Sam released a debut festive single titled "Christmas Number One" in December 2025.
