Infusing rhythmic, hard-hitting R&B with lo-fi influences and live instrumentation, Samaria delivers raw emotion through her charismatic, honeyed vocals.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, she grew up on a steady diet of ‘90s and ‘00s R&B/pop, inspired by legends like Aaliyah, Destiny’s Child, and Justin Timberlake. Her passion for music was nurtured by her late grandmother, who encouraged her with piano lessons and Nickelodeon auditions.
After her grandmother’s passing, a young Samaria spiraled into depression, nearly dropping out of high school. She found an outlet in songwriting, pouring her emotions into originals and a viral Drake remix on SoundCloud.
In search of a fresh start, she moved to Hawaii, where she found solace in the ocean. Surfing became its own rhythm, mirroring the ebb and flow of her emotions. The island’s energy seeped into her music, adding a breezy, hypnotic feel to her signature brand of heartfelt R&B.
Despite the vulnerability in her music, Samaria remains naturally elusive—a quiet intensity that keeps people wanting to know more. Like the ocean she’s come to love, she can’t be contained—only experienced, one wave at a time.
With clever wordplay, emotionally charged storytelling, and a haunting vocal presence, Samaria has proven herself to be the next maestro of modern heartbreak anthems—turning pain into poetry, and rhythm into healing.
