Samuel Opeyemi omotere better known on stage as SAMMYVOA is a Nigerian born
singer and songwriter. Growing up in Lagos Nigeria Sammy discovered his passion for
music at a very young age and was later introduced to a church choir by his beloved late mother. The passing of his mother had a huge impact on his life. His grief and loss motivated him to pursue a career in music so that he can make his mother proud. When he was a teenager he moved to Belgium with his family where he attended high school. Music was his daily motivation and gave him hope for a better life. He grew up listening to Gospel, Afrobeats, R&B and Hip Hop. Some of his major influences include: D’banj, P-Square, Wizkid and Chris Brown.
Sammy later relocated to the USA where he officially began his music career. The
Talented and Creative artist takes immense pride in his craft. His style of music is a fusion of Afrobeats, Amapiano and Pop.
In May 2022 he released his first EP titled VOA Volume1 which featured 9 songs. The release of the EP paved the way for him and took him to the next level. He was featured as one of the opening acts for some of the biggest names in the industry. The likes of Burna Boy, Tekno and Runtown. Undoubtably Sammy is amongst the vast growing artists in the Afrobeats scene. He hopes to inspire other young musicians in Africa and make a positive impact globally.
