Samuel Aguilar was born in Lanzarote, studied music on the island initially and then followed that up with studies in England, the United States and Tenerife, where he finished his degree on Composition. Over the years he has recorded several albums and his work has premiered in more than 30 countries from the five Continents. Nowadays he combines the teaching of composition at the Upper Canary Islands Conservatory with an intense and prolific activity as a composer, especially for contemporary dance.
