Sara Zare is a singer, a musical theatre actor and a music educator based in Austin, TX. Born into a musically inclined family in Iran and inspired by her father’s professional singing, she developed a deep passion for Persian music that led her to pursue a career in vocal performance. Facing restrictions on female singers in Iran, she continued her studies abroad, earning degrees in vocal performance from Georgia State University and the University of St. Thomas.
Sara’s artistic journey flourished through numerous university performances and independent musical endeavors. She has performed at prestigious venues such as Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, ZACH Theatre, and MATCH, and took the stage at the renowned SXSW Music Festival in 2022. Her talent and artistry were further recognized with a Silver Medal from the Global Music Awards in 2021.
Sara made her musical theatre debut in 2021 and has since remained active in various productions in both Houston and Austin. In addition to her performances, Sara is also a dedicated music educator, having trained many students in various music schools. She teaches voice and beginner piano, sharing her passion and expertise with a wide range of students.
