SaraLee

SaraLee is a singer, saxophonist and songwriter based in Helsinki Finland. Her inspiration arises listening artists such as Muddy Waters, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown and Sharon Stone. She sang her first gig at a local Blues festival before her 16th birthday. SaraLee lives and breaths roots music which can be heard when she vibrantly combines soul, rock ’n’ roll and even jazz in her vocals and ain’t afraid to growl with her tenor saxophone.

SaraLee was the first Finnish artist who signed with prestigious roots label Rhythm Bomb Records and her debut album "Queen of your heart" was released in 2016. Release sparked stellar reviews and Vintage Rock Magazine called her as "obviously versatile singer who can roar with the best of them yet can dial it down to a torchy whisper".

Her second album "Heart of Stone" was released in 2018 and first pressing was sold out before the record release show in Finland. Both albums include only original songs.


In 2020 SaraLee’s first 7" vinyl single "Love is Good / The Living Dead" was released. In this EP SaraLee wanted to represent love from two different sides: "Love is Good" (S. Mustonen / E. Vaajoensuu) is a song that celebrates love and the act of falling in love. The Living dead (W. Weidler) is a story about meeting just the right person.
