Sasaya consider themselves as story tellers and a group who are also not reluctant to feature God and the realities of life through uplifting choruses in their songs. Their sound is a mixture of folk, rock, and pop. Cyrus occasionally injects a spoken-word element in their songs and his reason for this is to be able to tell a more coherent story within tracks.
