Say Anise is London-based folk-pop artist Emily Barnett. With acoustic-guitar and harmony-led arrangements, there is a definite 60s/70s Laurel Canyon influence to her music, combined with echoes of nineties alt-pop.
She released her debut EP 'Say What You Want' in 2021. Her second EP 'For Tomorrow' was released on Bandcamp and CD only, with singles such as 'Hurry Honeypie', 'The Sea' and 'One' available on Spotify.
A lover of collaboration and a natural harmoniser, she can often be found singing on her friends’ projects, providing backing vocals for artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:7DgkkQJwpCxmgwvKnIuhPq" data-name="HUX">HUX</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1Sti6xmmoMo9WwRe8l4Wv8" data-name="Adrien Latgé">Adrien Latgé</a>.
