SCALA was born early 2020 as an electronic pop project and the brainchild of Frankfurt-based producer and songwriter Peter Johansson. Previously he has been part of a wide range of musical projects throughout the years, and released an EP as part of GLAS in 2016. During all that time, Peter worked with self-written material to be released one day. After releasing a couple of remixes of fellow Swedish bands, SCALA made that day made true. The first album "Chapter:01" was released in October 2021.
After that Peter was contacted by Helena Wigeborn, his former bandmate from GLAS, and they decided to reunite and take SCALA into the next chapter. Starting in March 2022, the new SCALA was launched, with vocals in Swedish by Helena. Their album "II" saw the day of light in June 2023.
