Lyrics-driven indie pop from Brussels, Belgium. Sea is releasing their first full album Every Human, Each Device in November 2023. An exciting mix of up and down tempo songs, singing about social rights for machines, forced small talk, and getting clean from too much wifi. Rocking, dreaming, shivering independent music!
Sea (Peoples) starts as a bunch of teenagers growing up in the same neighborhood who follow each other to the big city in their twenties. In Brussels, Timo Vantyghem (vocals, composition), Fien Robbe (vocals, keys), Dries Robbe (backings, guitar) and Ben De Greef (bass) are finally joined with a drummer called Engel Peet. She makes the band sound more energetic and groovy, and Sea (Peoples) evolves from cozy dream pop to lively indie rock. In the meantime, band members are exploring new horizons with bands like schroothoop (jazz, global), Borokov (klezmer), Bajeer (fairy rock), Another Dancer (lo-fi pop) and La Clinik Du Dr. Poembak (street orchestra).
After 3 self-released EP's, Sea (Peoples) hits the studio again in 2022, this time with Pascal Deweze and Hans De Prins to record a first full album, titled Every Human, Each Device. The songs are skillfully mixed by Noah Melis and mastered by Uwe Teichert.
