Sean McCole is a Chicago native whose musical inspiration began at the age of six, when he stole his parent's "Tommy James & The Shondells" cassette. That was when his Fischer Price Recorder ate the tape, but as the toy burst into flames, a voice from beyond told McCole that he was destined for rock greatness. His parents, convinced they birthed a rock and roll demon, bought him his first guitar. Soon he began composing renditions of pop hits he heard on the radio, replacing the lyrics of Bowie, the Beatles, the White Stripes, and Elton John with words of his own lyrical perspectives. That ultimately culminated in both his ejection from his first grade talent show and a permanent ban from all houses of worship on the north side of Chicago.
At 10, Sean discovered his true passion: hitting things really hard with sticks. He pounded his drums along to Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden and Nirvana finding kindred spirits within the violent rhythms. 10 years later, he was kicked out of The University of Denver for hooking a PA to the roof of his dorm and playing Dark Side of the Moon on repeat for thirty-six consecutive hours. He returned home, re-enrolled in college and began interning at music studios in exchange for sandwiches and cups of coffee that he could pour his midday whiskey into. This is the result.
