Award winning composer Steph Copeland began as a singer-songwriter and electronic producer in Windsor and Detroit. Her foray into screen composing began in 2012 with an electronic score for the indie horror film “Antisocial”.

The now Toronto-based artist/composer has since scored over 40 features, series and commercials, including brands NBA Canada and The North Face. In 2018, Copeland produced and conducted all-female ensemble orchestras for the SOCAN Awards and TIFF Gala.

Staying true to her songwriting roots, Steph continues to release albums and songs which have seen placements in series such as Netflix’s Tiny Pretty Things, L.A.'s Finest, UnREAL, animated series Mysticons and more.

Her most recent release “Gas Light” is a collaborative effort with virtuoso violinist Brigit O’Regan aka "Violin Girl". The music video, directed by Sean McLeod (City and Colour, Matthew Good) stars dancer/choreographer Murphy, who delivers a mercurial performance in the shuttered city streets of Toronto.

In 2021, Copeland participated in Music PEI’s Mentor program as a guest producer, the Music Publishers of Canada's "Women in the Studio" program, and Music Export Poland’s SyncCamp in Sopot; where she collaborated with international composers and music supervisors.

Works as a producer include "Deep Fire", with French producer Maesic (Universal), ‘Little Boxes’ with Swedish producer Freek Van Workum, ‘Dirty Blue Jeans’ for Kinley, and ‘Feel Alone’ for Oleyada.
