Selass

Selass is an aspiring Artist/Producer from South Kilburn (Northwest London) who presents a uniquely modern sound which directly reflects his own life experiences. The fusion of Hip Hop, Grime, Dancehall & Reggae evokes the authenticity in his musical talent.


His work ethic is second to none and is clearly evident in his EP ‘Long Way Home’ and his debut album ‘Met Quota’ both released in 2020. He is definitely a promising artist to keep a lookout for in the music world.


At the age of 16, Selass began to develop a strong interest in music through the likes of his musical influences such as Bob Marley, Kendrick Lamar & Kano. Speaking of which, in August 2020, Selass became the winner of the 3bar Superstar challenge hosted by JD, Adidas & Kano. He won and took the opportunity to partake in a studio session with Kano himself and received great praises by him and the social media audience. He is also gaining attention from artists such as wretch 32, WSTRN & Big Zeeks.


Outside of music, Selass and his immediate family are devout Rastafarians who worship and chant on a weekly basis, as seen through his social platforms. He also conveys his Rastafarian roots in his music persistently.


We have great hopes for where Selass’ musical career will take him as this is solely the beginning for him !
