Selima Terras is a Tunisian singer-songwriter and composer. Solar, creative, and socially engaged, she composed music for NGOS, choirs, short films, and theater productions. Her work resists easy categorization, guided by wide musical curiosity and a desire to expand possibilities.
Writing and performing since her teenage years, Selima has developed a singular practice across voice, piano, cello, and composition. She studied Arabic music in Tunis alongside Western music theory and performance at Bowdoin College and NYU Shanghai.
Her 2025 single Ma Nourid (“What We Desire”) grew into a community songwriting project in Tunisia, bringing together hundreds of strangers through workshops and performances to write songs exploring collective hopes and desires.
On September 25, Selima joins electronic music duo Pandhora for a single "Njoum Ellil", bringing century-old poetry by Abou el Kacem Chebbi into a reflection on uncertain futures, wisdom, darkness, and, most importantly, light.
