Groove metal complemented with powerful rap and spoken word. Selkies is a heavy crossover band combining groove metal with hip hop influences. If Selkies is not leveling the stage with heavy down-tuned breakdowns, compelling stories and atmospheric moments take its place. The djent/groove metal formation from Twente, Netherlands, released their first self-title EP in 2016 and their debut album "Shoveling Dirt" in April 2019. In 2024 Selkies released their 2nd album, a concept vinyl called "Enter Your Mind"
