Selldretti

Walker Vernal Seldon, known by his stage name Selldretti, is an American rapper, songwriter, and producer. His debut hit single “Welcome to Columbus, Ga” set the tone for his music career gaining many positive reviews as well as popularity in the music industry. The Mayor of Columbus, Georgia, B.H. “Skip” Henderson III, designated June 22nd as “2nd Lieutenant Walker Vernal Seldon Day” to celebrate Selldretti’s accomplishment as being one of the only African Americans from Columbus, Georgia to graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point.


Born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, Selldretti joined the United States Army as a Private First Class immediately graduating high school. He served with the 10th Mountain Division while deployed in Bagram, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2014. While deployed, he received a letter of acceptance into the United States Military Academy Preparatory School which allowed him to return to the U.S. prior to original redeployment date. In 2019, Selldretti graduated from the academy with a Bachelor of Science in Law and commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant.

Some of Selldretti’s notable singles such as “Rock the Block” and “Get It Jumpin’” has seen major success accumulating millions of streams across all platforms. His single “Composure” peaked at #1 on iTunes Top 100 Hip-Hop/Rap Charts and #2 on the overall iTunes Top 100 Charts in South Africa.
