Established in 2020, Sentiment have quickly become one of Brisbane, Australia’s favourite rising acts. The five-piece, made up of Sebastian ‘Seabass’ Ionita (vocals), Alex Swan (guitar), Kye Rogers (guitar), Andy Taylor (bass), and Matty Clay (drums), blend post-hardcore and synth-rock elements to create their identifiable metalcore sound; well-suited to fans of Linkin Park, Thornhill, Issues, and Beartooth. Their release catalogue boasts their songwriting versatility, genre-hopping from the heavy-as-hell Sentiment (Redux), to melodic anthem Once a Rose, Now a Parasite, and into the funky synth-driven vibes of Bittersweet. With a highly anticipated debut EP in the pipeline, and a stellar lineup of shows booked to see them through to the end of the year, Sentiment will continue to be “a feast for your ears” (Wall of Sound, 2021).
