Shalif

SHALIF is an American Pop & R&B singer rising from Brooklyn, New York. He comes accompanied with a diverse sound spectrum seemingly crossing genres effortlessly. He openly credits that ability to the music he was fed by his elders at an early age. Growing up he had to be versatile in order grow as a boxer , a basketball player , and singer while being able to adapt to the raw blend of talent around him. This skillset was developed early and keeps him ever shifting between “PoPnB” lanes.


Born in summer of 1992 in Brooklyn as Shakeem Khalif. Shalif found singing to be a remedy as well as an imaginative escape from the already paved streets of Brooklyn. He wanted to follow his own path. As a youth choir singer he had his first solo performance and found it to be invigorating. Claiming it sparked his seed for music, and performance. After being motivated by family and friends to create music, and years of other ventures, it wouldn’t be until Summer 2020 where he would record his first single PUSH START. With a blend of refreshing vocals & lyric delivery and nostalgic uptempo groove the debut single was catchy enough to catch 140,000 music listeners to date. (JAN. 2021)


They say it’s better to be late than never arrive. At this point it’s safe to say Shalif has arrived. He has a refined sound stemming from soulful roots and contemporary blend of pop and R&B. With that potential it’s projected he can land as high as he sets his sights.
