Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Shanyia’s life has been nothing short of adventurous. At an early age, Shanyia discovered songwriting by helping her Uncle, a music songwriter and musician, write songs. She was exposed to all genres of music and artists that peaked her interest and drove this immense passion for entertainment. No stranger to the performing arts, Shanyia participated at the Milford High School Magnet Program for vocal music as well as attending the vocal program at Deep Park Middle School.
She likes to think of herself as the adventurous girl type. Although growing up as a bit of a tomboy with a venturesome spirit, Shanyia has become the social butterfly, aiming to grace stages worldwide. Shanyia describes her songwriting process as one that encompasses her entire life. She finds writing inspiration through her experiences and those around her, always drawing from a deep yet light-hearted emotional perspective. Always attentive to her surroundings, 22-year old Shanyia stands by the motto “Don’t count the days. Make the days count”. Her passion for music doesn't skip a beat!
