Shayan Roy is a Mumbai-based rapper/singer and songwriter. He started rapping and performing at the age of 15, before embarking on an eclectic musical journey which saw him dabbling in electronic music production, as well as fronting a blues-rock band, before finding his way back to hip hop in 2016. Shayan's first single, "Vincent Chase Slippin" with Bangalore-based producer MALFNKTION, was released in 2018, along with a music video which aired on VH1 India.

A former video producer at BuzzFeed India, Shayan’s latest project is "Triangles", a hip hop/R&B project with vocalist Rolex Rasathy and producer So Fire. He is also working on releasing his first independent solo EP, slated for a 2020 release.

Shayan's influences reflect the diverse extent of music he has explored over the years. His favourites range from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Mos Def, and Mac Miller, to 90s artists like Jeff Buckley and Chris Cornell, as well as producers like Baths, Shigeto, and Flying Lotus.
