After spending years in the 90s as a backing singer. Elaine Girard P.K.A Shayee decided to take a break from the music industry.
In 2019, after a chance meeting in which Shayee was asked to sing a few lead vocals on some Dance demos by the production team Da Undercardz which consists of producer Fidarri Beats and songwriter Marvee Woods. Shayee decided that it might be the right time to step back into the music business.
When Da Undercardz, during the lockdown period in June 2020 spoke to Shayee about Feeling Good, a track that they were working on with Redondo. Shayee did not hesitate to do the collab.
In 2023 Shayee teamed up with American DJ Max Styler and features on the Max Styler single called Amazing which is released worldwide on Insomniac Records.
Shayee who is now managed by Da Undercardz, is currently doing vocals on more Dance songs with various DJs that the Da Undercardz are working with.
Shayee’s old school diva vocals which is somewhat reminiscent of a soulful Angie Brown esq vibe is cooking up a storm with many DJs who usually look to sample old school classics and are now looking for the same Soulful vibe over original current House/Dance instrumentals.
With the creativeness of her team Da Undercardz backing her. The future for Shayee is looking potentially good with more DJ collabs and releases in the pipeline.
