Sherbit

Sherbit hails from the Highlands of Scotland. As is tradition in that area, Sherbit has a deep-seated love of stories, and story-telling. He loves to hear all kinds of stories from people of all walks of life, but particularly loves those with an element of mystery. The stories that capture his attention come in all forms - films, books, word-of-mouth, rumour, his own experiences and those of his friends and acquaintances. He can often be found asking people around him: "Tell me a story?"

Sherbit is a longstanding member of the intelliGents, a collaboration between like-minded artists in Inverness. He enjoys the opportunity to collaborate with others, relishing the challenges that different styles can bring, and is constantly seeking to bring new elements to his own music and thinking. His recent collaboration with Janski has allowed him to explore this further, though his love of Scottish heritage abides throughout, as can be seen both in his recent Campfire Stories album and his debut album Up In Alba.

Sherbit's inspiration for his tracks comes from life around him; his daily experiences, joys and frustrations; but particularly from the stories and mysteries that draw him in and capture his imagination. His second full album, Campfire Stories, seeks to continue the time-honoured tradition of Highland storytelling - with an added Sherbit twist!
